The Palm Leaf Corporation developed Rough Rider(TM) trips to identify our series of low cost rail excursions. We minimize expenses by traveling without a separate diner/lounge car. Self service and informality are the rule, however a porter is onboard to assist you with your needs. You bring the food items of your preference, refrigeration and freezer space is available. For optimum use of refrigeration space, all cold items should be packed in square containers. Microwave and coffee makers are onboard. Arrangements can be made to access Amtrak's diner between major cities. This is an informal trip so comfortable clothing is recommended. Please note that smoking is not allowed onboard. Overnight occupancy of the Palm Leaf in Seattle, Portland and Whitefish is included. Come join us for eight days of rail travel and beautiful scenery! The "Glacier Park Special" will be limited to 15 guests. Advanced reservations with a $200 non-refundable deposit is advised. Payment in full is required by July 15, 2003. All fares will be fully refunded in the event the trip cancels. Accommodations are available as single occupancy (Roomette) or double occupancy (Bedroom). One-way fares or partial trip fares may be available, however round trip fares have priority. Gratuities for Porter are not included in fares. Round trip fare is $1,695 which includes rail transportation and some meals.
